You must be at least 18 years of age and not older than 35 years of age by the date of the competition.

At least one parents from Nigerian descent.

You must be not be Married.

You must be in United States.

You must be in excellent physical and mental health.

You must submit a $100 non-refundable fee with the application. All fees must be paid through PayPal.

You must provide proof of age; with a valid Identification

You must provide two non-returnable photos, any size: one full length and one head shot.

Complete and return all required application items in a timely manner.

If I AM HAVING TROUBLE SUBMITTING MY APPLICATION, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you didn’t receive a confirmation page stating your application has been submitted or having technical issues when filling out the application, then please submit application info and pictures to missnigeriausa14@gmail.com
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?
Once you have applied, the organization will process and review your application accordingly. Contestants are selected based mainly on the strength of their application. If necessary, there might be additional phone interviews or video submissions as determined by the organization.
HOW MANY WOMEN WILL COMPETE?
Pending on venue size, but typically
Miss Nigeria Usa will have between 12 and up to 36 contestants each representing a state in Nigeria.
DO I HAVE TO BE BORN IN MY COUNTRY OF ORIGIN TO REPRESENT THAT COUNTRY?
No. As long as you or your parents are from Nigeria.
ARE THERE AGE REQUIREMENTS?
Yes. Miss Nigeria Usa contestants must be at least 18 years of age and under 35 years of age by the date of the Finale Event.
CAN A DELEGATE COMPETE MORE THAN ONCE?
Yes. Contestants may compete more than once, as long as the delegate has never been a Miss Nigeria Usa titleholder.
CAN CONTESTANTS BE MARRIED?
No, contestants may not be married or currently pregnant. However, unlike any other pageants.
WHAT ARE THE COMPETITION ROUNDS?
There are a total of 6 competition rounds. They are as follows: Pre-Judging Interviews, Cultural Wear, Swimwear, Talents, Evening Wear, and Finale Questionnaires.
DO CONTESTANTS HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN AIRFARE AND PARTICIPATION EXPENSES?
Yes, contestants are responsible for their own airfare & expenses. However, we encourage contestants to either do fundraisers or find sponsors to help either cover their expenses. All information on the Contestant Kit.
WHAT STATE WILL BE HOSTING THE MISS NIGERIA USA PAGEANT?:
Houston, Texas
IF I AM SELECTED AS AN OFFICIAL CONTESTANT, WHAT DATES MUST I BE AVAILABLE FOR?.
Exact dates will be announce soon.
ARE CONTESTANTS EXPECTED TO STAY LONGER THAN THE FINALE DATE?
Only the Miss Nigeria USA Titleholder and her Royal Court (1st & 2nd Runner ups) will be expected to stay approximately 1-2 days after the Finale for promotional purpose.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE COMPETITION WEEK?:
During the competition week, it will be a lot of runway training, Events, workshops, photo shoots and everything else to prepare for the finale event.
WILL HAIR AND MAKE-UP BE PROVIDED?
Yes, hair and make-up will be provided at no cost. Contestants may also have the option to do their own hair and make-up.
AM I STILL ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IF I HAVE TATTOOS?
Tattoos are acceptable if it’s not too excessive.
WHAT ARE THE VOTES FOR?
The votes are simply for other Titles which will not be effective until approximately 60 days prior to the finale pageant date.
